This is Bang Your Head, a newsletter about Rock, Hard Rock, Metal.
In this inaugural post, I thought it would be a good idea to highlight my favorite albums from 2021, to give you an idea of the type of music I like.
2021 Favorites
In the Court of the Dragon - Trivium
In my opinion, their best album yet.
Dark Connection - Beast in Black
Power metal loaded with keyboards, super-catchy songs and even a Michael Jackson cover!
Servant of the Mind - Volbeat
Heavier than that last couple releases.
Call of the Wild - Powerwolf
Fun power metal. Be sure to watch the music videos.
Vultures Die Alone - Arion
Catchy, fast metal.
Chez Kane - Chez Kane
Old-school 80’s style rock.
Wired - Eclipse
More top-notch hard rock from the masters of it.
Kings in the North - Crowne
Quality hard rock from this “project” band.
Final Days - Orden Ogan
It seems I’m a sucker for catchy power metal.
One Shot - Ronnie Atkins
More personal material from the Pretty Maids frontman.
