Noises (March 25, 2022)
Lots of great stuff to highlight this week!
Shinedown released a new song from their upcoming Planet Zero album: Saints of Violence and Innuendo
PowerWolf just put out Call of the Wild last year, but they have a new song out to “thank the fans” called Sainted by the Storm.
Skid Row has been around a long time, but have not been all that relevant since they split with Sebastian Bach. However, they have big news this week: Their new singer is Erik Grönwall (formally of H.E.A.T and currently in New Horizon) and they have a new song: The Gang’s All Here. The album is said to come out in October, but that’s a long lead time which would imply they probably have only just started on it.
Speaking of H.E.A.T, they also announced their own new album, Force Majeure, out in August. Here’s the lead single, Nationwide.
Ronnie Romero, vocalist extraordinaire, has a new album, Raised on Radio, coming out next month. It’s a cover album, which can be hit or miss, but I liked the cover of the Foreigner deep cut Girl on the Moon (from their 4 album).
I loved Fozzy’s last album from 2017, Judas. They’ve been working on a new album for a while now and it is due out in May. Called Boombox, the latest track from it is I Still Burn.
Fallen Sanctuary, the combination of Serenity vocalist Georg Neuhauser and Temperance guitarist Marco Pastorino, have a power metal album out in June, called Terranova. The first single, Broken Dreams, is amazing!
Last week Def Leppard announced a new album and a single, Kick. The full video is out now.
Battle Beast released Circus of Doom in January, but they have a new “Bonus Edition” coming out at the end of April. It has two new songs, The Lightbringer and Tempest of Blades.
Ibaraki, the black metal project from Matthew Kiichi of Trivium, put out a new song, Ronin (with special guest Gerard Way from My Chemical Romance), from their upcoming Rashomon album.
This is already too long, but here are a few new albums to check out:
Dream Widow, the metal band/EP from Foo Fighters’ David Grohl.
Abracadabra by Hardcore Superstar.
Animus by Moonlight Haze.
The debut album by SheWolf.
